Sound travels through phenomena

Plugins that push sonic limits. We traveled to the event horizon to bring novel signal chains, effects, and processes to our technology. Capturing the sound of rare phenomena, and bringing it directly to your fingertips.

Rare Phenomena
from the Void

Void Voicings is a boutique audio software studio. We chase the abstract phenomena that gives a quality sound its weight, then rebuild their character as plugins that can live with you anywhere you go.

The behavior is measured from the analog inspiration it comes from, then reconstructed so it responds in a way that feels genuine and authentic: free to reorder, retouch, and automate.

Lofi Void
A four-phenomena ambient and lofi rig in a single plugin: dark delay, tape modulation, endless reverb, and a multi-effect sequencer. Modeled from the real boutique hardware it was inspired by.

The four phenomena
01
Modulated Delay · Originally by Spooky Vibes
Lighthouse

A dark, modulated delay modeled from the real hardware pedal. Three voices: clean dark repeats, a subtle chorus shimmer, and a diffuse ambient wash. Push the feedback and it blooms into an endless self-oscillating hum.

02
Tape Modulator
The Redshift

Lofi character in one box: asymmetric tape saturation, an underwater chorus ensemble, pitch warble, tape hiss, vinyl crackle, and dropouts. The Vibe control pulls the whole signal beneath the surface.

03
Ambient Reverb
The Singularity

A modulated feedback network that stretches a sound through the void of outer space. Length drives the decay toward infinite, while diffusion, damping, and drag bend the spacetime. Flip on Reverse and notes swell up backwards.

04
Multi-Effect Sequencer
Hyperspace Protocol

A 16-step grid that drives one of three engines: a resonant filter, rhythmic volume, or Warp, a pitch and glitch memory that reaches back through a buffer to add reverses, harmonies, and stutters in time.

Built to Inspire.

Void Voicings is an audio software studio by Jon Vokal: a guitarist, vocalist, and engineer known for his progressive metal band Blank Slate, along with multiple other endeavors. This project is brought to life by the real pedalboards, signal chains, and gear that have crafted Jon's sound throughout decades of playing. Designed with the same commitment and taste that makes analog gear authentic and inspirational.
